I know you're all admiring my beautiful, graceful equine.
We rode in the ring today - after lunging - and all of the jump poles have been claimed for erosion protection so I had to make the jump out of a piece of pvc pipe and some brush. The ring is also currently lined with brush to also stop erosion.
Shasta is actually pretty
I thought this was pretty ghetto until I was one of the teenage girls making a jump out of scrap lumber down in the lower ring. We had to go to Home Depot to buy some metal to keep mice out of our tack room so we bought some poles while we were there and delivered them up to the upper ring. Together with the jump standards we've built, almost all of the jump equipment at the barn comes from us.
